We are so excited about the meal we put together tonight. Considering that we never really follow a recipe and just tinker away, it’s always exciting when it’s actually really good!
Menu tonight was seared tuna steaks with sesame seeds with a cucumber salad, brown rice, and snap peas. The cucumber salad really made it. I did about a cup of very thinly sliced seedless cucumbers and maybe a quarter cup of sweet onion. Then I let them marinade in a mix of fish sauce, rice vinegar, and some roasted garlic hot sauce from horseshoe brand. (LOVE this hot sauce) That created a nice dressing for the fish and rice, which I prepared with a bit of rice vinegar and soy sauce. Just a little salt on the lightly steamed snow peas from the farmers market.
